Members of FLYDLPHN work with chamber ensembles and instrumentalists on repertoire from contemporary to standard and everything in between; offering private lessons and group masterclasses.

workshops with composers

One of FLYDLPHN’s core values is working with early-career and student composers. We give recorded reading sessions and masterclasses with groups; through which we offer feedback on writing for mixed chamber ensembles, writing for electronics, writing for an improvising ensemble, and basics of composer/ensemble collaboration.

Working WITH TECHNOLOGY AND MULTIMEDIA

Members of FLYDLPHN have expertise in performing, developing, and composing technologically enhanced works. We offer discussions and masterclasses on working with fixed media, audio processing, video processing, or lighting. Whether it’s getting a performer introduced to their first tape piece or working with an experienced programmer on a new idea, we are excited to dive in!

iMPROVISing in a chamber ensemble

FLYDLPHN’s members are also well practiced in many forms of collective improvisation from traditional and jazz, to free form, to structured or graphic score interpretation. We lead workshops on improvising within the chamber setting, looking to give every musician a sense of agency over their sound within a community.
